The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) is seeking to appoint a Chair of the Board of the Northern Ireland Fishery Harbour Authority (NIFHA). NIFHA is an Executive Non-Departmental Public Body sponsored by DAERA. It has a statutory responsibility for the improvement, management and maintenance of the three fishery harbours at Ardglass, Kilkeel and Portavogie. Time Commitment and Remuneration
The total time commitment for the Chair of the NIFHA Board is 30-32 days per annum.
The Chair position is remunerated at £10,680 per annum.
Reasonable travel expenses will also be reimbursed along with reasonable costs relating to care of dependants, including childcare.
Terms of Appointment
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will be appointed for a four-year period by 2nd October 2023.
An additional four-year term may be offered, subject to satisfactory performance and attendance.
