The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) is responsible for implementing EU Legislation on the marketing of cereal seeds, fodder plant seeds, beet seeds, oil and fibre plant seeds, vegetable seeds, and the associated, licensing, enforcement and fees.

What's new?

The British Society of Plant Breeders (BSPB website) have developed a new website called Plant Breeding Rights which is intended to provide a comprehensive and accessible source of information about Plant Breeding.

BSPB have also produced a FAQ document about Farm Saved Seed.
