DAERA directed Agri-food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI) research work programme

Topics:

On an annual basis, DAERA uses informal and formal consultation with stakeholders to inform their commissioning document for this Programme.  The commissioning document outlines the Department’s priority needs for projects each year and AFBI are invited to submit research proposals to address these. 

Budgetary constraints mean that we cannot fund all the needs identified but other options are available to address these needs, such as the DAERA-funded Postgraduate Studentship Scheme and the Research Challenge Fund.
