Appointment of Deputy Chair and up to 16 Board Members to the Council for Nature Conservation and the Countryside (CNCC)

Time Commitment and Remuneration: The Deputy Chair role requires approximately 30 - 36 days per annum.  This position is remunerated at £6,827 per annum (under review). The Member role requires approximately 18 days per annum. This position is not remunerated.  Reasonable travel and subsistence expenses incurred on official business will be reimbursed.

Terms of Appointment: All successful candidates will be appointed for a three year period from 1^st August 2021.  An additional three year term may be offered subject to satisfactory performance and attendance.

Application Process: A merit based process will be applied alongside the Guaranteed Interview Scheme for applicants with a disability. Applicants will be expected to complete an application form demonstrating how they meet the essential criteria for appointment.

The essential criteria are: Knowledge, expertise and practical experience in a field relevant to CNCC; Analytical Ability and Decision Making Skills; and Communication and Teamwork.  Additional essential criteria for the Deputy Chair role are Strategic Leadership; and Corporate Governance.
