Consultation description

The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs proposes to designate an area known as Teal Lough, situated in the townlands of Tullybrick, Londonderry and Slaghtfreeden, Tyrone as a Wetland of International Importance in accordance with the Ramsar Convention (RSAR).

The Department has given written notification to all persons identified as having an interest in land within the proposed Ramsar site.  Any person who owns land or has a legal right to carry out any activity on the land within the proposed site, who has not received written notification should contact Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA), Conservation Designations and Protection, Klondyke Building, Cromac Avenue, Gasworks Business Park, Malone Lower, Belfast, BT7 2JA, Telephone 028 9056 9522, email N2K-CMP@daera-ni.gov.uk.

A copy of the map showing the lands referred to above is attached.

Any person wishing to make comments on the proposal should ensure they reach the above address by 19 February 2019.
