The Northern Ireland greenhouse gas (GHG) projections were originally due to be published on 29th March 2024 but have been paused. With the introduction of the NI Climate Change Act, an assessment is underway of projections from the draft climate action plan (CAP) quantification paper and if CAP work should supersede the GHG projections annual publication.
Further details on the future of this publication will be highlighted to users in due course when an assessment of the CAP work is fully completed.
