Appointment of two additional Members to the Northern Ireland Tuberculosis Eradication Partnership Board

DAERA seeks two additional Members for the Tuberculosis Eradication Partnership (TBEP)

The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) has launched a public appointments competition to appoint two additional Members to the TB Eradication Partnership, with effect from 1 January 2020.

Appointments will be in respect of two additional Members. The positions are remunerated.

The TBEP is a DAERA sponsored independent Expert Advisory Body.

In order to achieve a balance of skills and backgrounds represented on the TBEP, the Department has identified a need for two additional members with an appropriate range of skills, backgrounds and experiences in the following two areas:

  • a person representative of the Northern Ireland processing sector; and
  • a person representative of nature conservation / environmental issues.

Candidates will need to clearly demonstrate that they have the following skills and knowledge. They will need to show, both on the written application form and, if invited, orally at interview, how they meet the essential, and desirable, criteria listed below.

TBEP member - essential criteria

  • experience and knowledge in a field of activity relevant to one of the following:
    • the Northern Ireland processing sector
    • nature conservation / environmental issues
  • strategic thinking and direction
  • communication skills

TBEP member - desirable criteria

  • financial planning and management.
  • corporate governance and accountability.
