Direct payments statutory rules 2021
The Direct Payments to Farmers (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 (S.R. 2021 no. 40)
This Statutory Rule came into operation on 23 February 2021. It modifies the existing legislation governing Direct Payment schemes for farmers in Northern Ireland so that they can continue to operate beyond the end of the 2020 scheme. This includes making provision for the direct payments ceiling beyond 2020 and removing provisions that are no longer operating, or have never operated, in Northern Ireland.
This Statutory Rule came into operation on 25 February 2021. It modifies the existing legislation governing Direct Payment schemes for farmers in Northern Ireland in order to give legal effect to improvements, changes and simplifications to the rules governing the direct agricultural support schemes for the 2021 Scheme Year.
