Temporary Covid-19 Regulatory Position Statements
DAERA and NIEA (The Northern Ireland Environment Agency – an Executive Agency within DAERA) recognises the extraordinary challenges that the Covid-19 pandemic has brought to our society, and the way we live and work. In order to help those regulated sectors that are essential during this public health emergency, DAERA and NIEA are issuing specific Covid-19 Regulatory Position Statements. This section will be updated regularly.
Provided that these Covid-19 Regulatory Position Statements are adhered to DAERA and NIEA will not take regulatory and/or enforcement action in the cases described below only. They will be kept under review and amended as required should new information become available. They are restricted to the period of the Covid-19 emergency. Regulatory Position Statements do not relate to any other activities other than those detailed, even when they are similar in nature.
