From 1 January 2021, new rules take effect to ensure Northern Ireland continues to align with EU Regulations on goods. More information and support for business and individuals is available below.

From 01 January 2021, the rules have changed for bringing in animals including fish, food, feed, plants, plant products and wood from GB to NI. The Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO) for NI, Dr Robert Huey, urges businesses and individuals to take action so that products can keep moving.
