Angler convicted of fisheries offence

Thomas Grujo (48) of Crumlin Road Belfast was convicted on September 3 at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court of angling without the appropriate licence.

Mr Grujo was found guilty and fined a total of £265 which consisted of a fine of £250 with an offender levy of £15.

Mr Grujo was observed fishing at Kinnego on the southern shore of Lough Neagh on the 5 December 2023. He was fishing with three rods with a fourth rod in fishing order and ready for use. When asked for his licence he stated he didn’t have one.
