    The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs provides a range of statistics covering agriculture, environment, rural communities, animal health, fisheries, food and forestry in Northern Ireland.

    Rural statistics

    DAERA produces urban/rural comparisons of statistical data across a wide range of social and economic domains, in order to inform public policy and urban/rural research.
    The statistics include urban/rural comparisons for population change, household characteristics, income and earnings, employment and economic activity, business and investment, telecommunications, health and wellbeing, education, housing, crime, tourism, travel and transport.

    Climate Change statistics

    DAERA produces a number of statistical reports on the topic of climate change and greenhouse gas emissions for Northern Ireland.

    Environmental statistics

    DAERA produces a number of statistical reports on the Environment covering a range of topics including water pollution, air pollution, municipal waste management statistics, beaches, and carrier bags levy statistics.

    Animal disease statistics

    Statistics and Statistical Reports provided by the Veterinary Service Animal Health Group of the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) in relation to testing for, and incidence of, animal diseases.

    About DAERA statistics

    Almost all of the statistics for agriculture and food are National Statistics produced in accordance with the 'Framework for National Statistics' and complying with the principles embodied in the 'National Statistics Code of Practice.

    Statistical bulletins

    Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs publishes regular statistical press releases on key statistics related to farm census results, crop yields and production estimates, December agricultural survey, and agricultural incomes for Northern Ireland.

    Agricultural and Market Prices

    Based on surveys, the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs provides price information for agricultural products in Northern Ireland. Current average prices for clean cattle and sheep and for breeding animals, as well as prices for pigs, broiler chickens, potatoes and cereals can be found in the 'agricultural market reports'.

    Agricultural inputs and outputs

    Details of outputs of livestock products for Northern Ireland. Includes output quantities of the main agricultural products and sources of home-fed finished cattle. Also more current statistics on monthly milk production and utilisation data , as well as the Egg Packers Survey.

    Agricultural Statistics

    DAERA produces statistical reports and economic information on agriculture, including results from the Agricultural Census and the Farm Business Survey. The statistics cover farm-gate prices, farm incomes and performance, crop areas and livestock numbers, farm structure, and agri-food processing sector performance.

    Northern Ireland environmental statistics report

    An annual compendium which reports on a range of environmental indicators and provides links to government strategies. This report contains environmental indicators covering seven key themes: Public Attitudes, Climate Change, Air, Water and Marine, Biodiversity and Land, Waste and Historic Environment.
