Applications have been made to the NIEA an Agency of the Department of Agriculture, Environment & Rural Affairs for authorisation under the Water Abstraction and Impoundment (Licensing) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006.

Details

Dalradian Gold Ltd has applied for authorisation for two abstraction and impoundment (listed below) at the proposed Curraghinalt Mine, adjacent to 80 Mullydoo Road, Greencastle, County Tyrone, BT79 7QP (E258418, N383902)

  • Abstraction of surface water and storage in the Clean Water Pond. (Application Reference AIL/2020/1050)
  • Abstraction of Mine Water through dewatering of the underground mine and storage within the West Pond. (Application Reference AIL/2020/1060)

Applications were submitted to NIEA on the 30th September 2020 and deemed complete on the 25th November 2020.
