Delivering the Programme of Measures in the Northern Ireland River Basin Management Plans - A progress report for the North Western, Neagh Bann and North Eastern River Basin Districts 2012

This report demonstrates that we are moving in the right direction but more action is still required to meet both our short and long term objectives to protect and improve the water environment. We need sustainable solutions that take account of economic and social needs as well as environmental needs. We also need to continue to work with our colleagues in Ireland to ensure the shared water catchments in the North Western and Neagh Bann International River Basin Districts are being managing in a co-ordinated manner to ensure objectives for our shared rivers, lakes estuaries and coastal waters
