Postgraduate Seminar 2017

DAERA's annual postgraduate studentships seminar allows currently funded students to showcase their research.

The event was held at the College for Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise, Greenmount Campus on 27 September 2017 and was attended by around 100 students, supervisors, stakeholders and DAERA staff. 

The Guest Speaker was Professor Nigel Scollan of the Institute for Global Food Security, Queen's University, Belfast.  Professor Scollan provided an insight into his career as a Scientific leader of International standing and his work on the Waitrose Farming Partnership. Professor Scollan said “The Waitrose Partnership supply chain approach has strong principles built on trust, honesty, service and value, sharing knowledge, profit and power. All partners work for the improvement of the business in the knowledge that the rewards of success are shared.”
