Paragraph 44 allows the heating of iron, steel or any ferrous-alloy1 , non-ferrous metal or non-ferrous metal alloy, in one or more furnaces or other appliances, the primary combustion chambers of which have in aggregate a net rated thermal input of less than 0.2 megawatts, for the purpose of removing grease, oil or any other non-metallic contaminant.
