  • NIFAIS go live – Monday 4th September 2023

    Topics:
    • Northern Ireland Food Animal Information System (NIFAIS)

    Date published: 29 August 2023

The countdown is on for NIFAIS Go Live on Monday 4th September 2023.

SCreenshot of Northern Ireland Food Animal Information System

NIFAIS is one of the largest IT changes which the Department has introduced in recent years. The first stage of NIFAIS was implemented in 2017 and the remaining bovine functionality will now go live on 4th September 2023. NIFAIS will eventually replace APHIS as the Department’s key traceability and disease control system underpinning the agri-food sector in Northern Ireland.

External Stakeholders using their Government Gateway / NIDA log in details, will be taken to the new NIFAIS landing page where all services can be accessed.

A reduced APHIS remains available for other species and will be supported until NIFAIS stage 2 is successfully delivered.

Please contact NIFAISComms@daera-ni.gov.uk for further information.
