The Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings (ASHE) is a UK wide survey which provides a wide range of information on hourly, weekly and annual earnings of employees.

It has been carried out in Northern Ireland since 2004 (replacing the earlier New Earnings Survey) and is conducted by Economic and Labour Market Statistics Branch, NISRA. The annual sample comprises approximately 1% of all employees in Northern Ireland who are covered by PAYE schemes.

Further information on the ASHE is available on the NISRA website.
