Project Description: The Copeland Bird Observatory (CBO) need to replace the existing galvanised-metal, low-tide, South Jetty with something more robust and long-lasting. The current jetty was built in 2014 and is reaching the end of its life. The metal walkways and supporting struts are corroding and the old concrete walkway was almost washed away by Storm Barra last December. Safe and secure access to the island is required to maintain the ongoing seabird research studies and to continue with outreach on environmental and conservation matters.
