The proposed works are along the coast of the Carlingford Lough from the NI / RoI border to Victoria
Lock Amenity Site.

Project Description: ‘Carlingford Lough Greenway’ is divided into 3 sections, with a total length of 7 kilometers.This Marine Construction License refers to Section 3.2 and 3.4. For those sections, a 4m
wide timber boardwalk is proposed, with CHS steel piles driven within the MHWS markfootprint. The remaining section 3 comprises a ground bearing pavement.
The works consists of:

  • Temporary piling platform enveloped in geotextiles
  • Temporary removal of rock armour
  • Pile driving using vibration techniques and, where required, impact hammer.
  • Construction of superstructure, above MHWS
  • Reinstatement of rock armour
