The strategy focuses on how more forests can be created and on the sustainable management of existing forests. It commits the Forest Service to continuing in its role as the major source of advice on forestry and promoting the use of forests and forest products.

The purpose of the Delivery Plan is to set how Forest Service will deliver its General Duty under section 1 of the Forestry Act, and translate Forest Service strategies into effective actions.

This Control Strategy provides a framework for the policy of identification, control and eradication of the causal agents of Chalara ash dieback in Ireland, and sets out the actions that will be taken to implement it.

This document sets out requirements for Contractors, hauliers and others wishing to work on Forest Service managed land, as they will need to show that they comply with the new procedures. 
 

The economic appraisal examines the options for forest policy in Northern Ireland. It takes account of preferences expressed in the responses to the consultation paper "Forestry in Northern Ireland" published in June 2002.

This guidance complements the DANI Countryside Management Strategy, and also outlines the procedures to be followed to achieve uniformity of approach between public and private sectors.
