UK Declaration of a disease free zone for Northern Ireland with regard to KHV disease

KHV disease became a compulsorily notifiable disease in Northern Ireland on 27 March 2009 under the Aquatic Animal Health Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009. A Declaration of a Category II surveillance programme was submitted to the Commission on 15 January 2010 (Document reference No. UK/1/2010 (KHV)) and the 2-year sampling and testing programme concluded in December 2012.
