    Consultation description

The proposed new Regulations will introduce revised fees for poultry flock holders for statutory testing and sampling under EU 2160/2003:

The existing fees have been reviewed in light of current costs relating to the testing regimes required under EU 2160/2003 and it is now necessary to introduce a new fees schedule to enable DARD to fully recover costs of services provided. This will ensure compliance with government policy of full cost recovery.

The following consultation package includes the proposed draft Regulations as well as a draft Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) detailing the amended schedule of fees.

    Update 9 March 2016

Following the 6 week consultation period, the Department has published the responses on the Zoonoses (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2016.

The new Regulations will introduce revised fees for poultry flock holders for statutory testing and sampling under EU 2160/2003.

This will ensure compliance with government policy of full cost recovery.

The following table shows the responses to the consultation received from stakeholders to the consultation and DARD’s response to them.
