Consultation description
The Bathing Waters Policy Review for Northern Ireland consultation document seeks views on eight policy proposals:
- How information is communicated to bathing water users
- Length of the bathing season
- A risk-based approach to bathing water monitoring
- Criteria for identification of bathing waters
- Monitoring of candidate sites
- Removal of automatic de-identification
- Ensuring monitored locations match usage
- Other stakeholder recommendations
Additionally, the consultation includes an application for proposed new bathing water sites by completing the Identify a New Bathing Water Application Form above.
This is a public consultation, open to all who may have an interest and who wish to be part of improving the Bathing Waters Policy for Northern Ireland. It is hoped that many will take an interest in this consultation and provide feedback. All views are welcomed by the Department.
