Fish Producer Organisations

Fish Producer organisations are officially recognised bodies, set up by fish producers to manage the activity of their members; including the promotion of sustainable fishing and the management of their Member’s quota. Fish Producer Organisations play an important role in achieving the objectives of the Common Fisheries Policy.

Producer Organisations must meet a number of conditions for recognition. Guidance on how DAERA will assess these conditions is laid out in the document below.
