  • EHC Authenticity Online Check Service

This is a service that allows Third Country competent authority officials to be able to link directly to the DECOL online system in order to be able to verify the authenticity of Export Health Certificates issued for exports to their respective countries.

As the use of Crown Gold paper for Third Country Export Health Certificates declines and is replaced by the use of a dithered watermark and a unique 12 digit security reference, an Importing Competent Authority may occasionally wish to query the authenticity of a certificate.

This online verification service is designed to facilitate that check. The Importing Competent Authority can enter the 12-digit code and unique certificate serial number from the certified EHC into the service which will confirm whether the certificate is valid or invalid.

The Importing Competent Authorities of the participating Third Countries have been made aware of this service but it is recommended that exporters also remind their import partners about its availability.

DAERA will respond to any correspondence from the Importing Competent Authority if any queries are received as to the authenticity of a white paper EHC
