    Use of 'Reglone' and other Diquat Generics

    During the dry conditions being experienced over the past number of weeks, some potato growers have raised concerns regarding the use of ‘Reglone’ and other Diquat generic formulations when burning off potato haulm foliage.

    The Soil Moisture Assessment for REGLONE Treatment (SMART) test (developed by Syngenta) is a very simple practical field test which allows growers to assess soil moisture and therefore gauge potential crop stress.
    The guide contains a useful Decision Support Chart which allows growers to best match their application rates to soil moisture conditions.
