    The Greenhouse Gas Implementation Partnership (GHGIP) is a DAERA-chaired representative body, consisting of agri-food industry and environmental stakeholders, which was established with the aim of ensuring that local food production is undertaken in the most carbon efficient manner possible.

    Efficient Farming Cuts Greenhouse Gases

    The GHGIP has published its updated 'Efficient Farming Cuts Greenhouse Gases Implementation Plan 2016 - 2020'. The plan (and related documents) focus on encouraging the implementation of a series of on-farm efficiency measures which can improve farm performance and reduce the carbon intensity of local food production and signposts the support available to facilitate this.
