Consultation description
The Energy Act 2013 established an Emissions Performance Standard (EPS) limiting the carbon dioxide emissions from new fossil fuel power stations. The draft Regulations will introduce monitoring and enforcement arrangements for the EPS in Northern Ireland. The intention is to have the statutory rule come into operation in January 2016.
The consultation document and the draft Regulations with details of how to reply to the consultation, and a list of consultees, may be viewed below. The consultation will close on Wednesday, 11 November 2015.
