Consultation description
An Equality Impact Assessment (EQIA) has been carried out for the Northern Ireland Peatland Strategy. An analysis of relevant evidence has been considered to help identify potential impacts resulting from the implementation of the strategy on the nine Section 75 Equality Groups. A number of potential mitigating measures have also been suggested. We invite stakeholders to consider the information included within this EQIA and provide feedback.
Between 12 August and 4 November 2022, DAERA launched a public consultation exercise on the Equality Impact Assessment carried out for the Draft Northern Ireland Peatland Strategy.
4 responses from stakeholders were received before the consultation deadline.
The results of the consultation have been analysed and collated in the Summary of Consultation Responses document above and will inform the final published version of the Northern Ireland Peatland Strategy.
