    Consultation description

The Scrapie (Fees) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2008 provide the statutory basis for the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) to charge fees for membership of the Scrapie Monitored Flocks Scheme (SMFS). Current fees payable for Scheme membership are set out in the Scrapie (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2013.

DARD is currently reviewing fees charged for the Scheme, with a view to introducing a revised Statutory Rule in 2016.
