CAFRE raises over £1,400 for Air Ambulance NI

Date published: 30 April 2021

Second year students at the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE), Enniskillen Campus, studying City and Guilds Level 3 Advanced Technical Extended Diploma are required to organise an equine event as part of their course. The students spotted a niche to organise a virtual dressage competition which complied with restrictions in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The event raised £1,412.18 for Air Ambulance NI.

The virtual dressage event was held during December and January.  The weather challenges didn’t deter committed competitors completing some lovely tests and submitting their videos for judging. Judges were Faith Ponsonby BHSI and Mark Robinson BHSI who kindly volunteered their services in aid of Air Ambulance NI.

CAFRE students would like to acknowledge and thank event sponsors; Charles Owen, Kyra Griffin Photographer, Bellisle Equestrian, SMCG Equestrian, Castle Irvine, Patches Equine Laundry, Omagh Equestrian, Homestead Saddlery, McCullough’s Feeds, Irish Equine Rehabilitation Centre, Jump Time, RDA Coleraine, Meadows Equestrian Centre, and Botanica NI.
