The projects also aligned with at least one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Dr Eric Long, Head of Education Service at CAFRE remarked: “Now in its third year the CAFRE GrowIN competition fosters the next generation of innovative thinkers and entrepreneurs for the Agriculture, Equine, Food and Horticulture industries. I extend thanks to Helen Keys from the Growing Innovation Network for facilitating this competition and to the Food, Farming and Countryside Commission and DAERA’s Innovation and Science Transformation Division for jointly providing the prize fund.”
