Closing date approaching for submission of information to the independent external review

The independent external reviewer into the Department’s implementation of a court Deprivation Order in Fivemiletown, Co Tyrone has established a dedicated mailbox to receive relevant, verifiable information from members of the public and external parties.
Dr Martin Blake, who is leading the review, is renewing his invitation to anyone with information relevant to the planning, decision-making or implementation of the operation carried out by DAERA in Fivemiletown on 29 and 30 June 2026 to submit it for consideration.
The terms of reference for the review can be accessed on the DAERA website.
Relevant, verifiable information should be sent to the following email address: Independent.review2026@gmail.com
To enable the review to proceed in a timely fashion, this mailbox for receipt of evidence will close at 4.00pm on 15 September 2026.
Members of the public who wish to provide information are encouraged to do so before it closes. Submissions received after this deadline may not be considered as part of the review process.
Dr Blake would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to contribute information.
Information submitted to the mailbox, including any personal data provided, will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection requirements and used only for the purposes of supporting the review.
The findings and recommendations of the review will be published as soon as possible upon completion.
