  • DAERA at the Winter Fair 2022

    Date published: 1 December 2022

The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) will attend this year’s RUAS annual Winter Fair and have a range of interactive stands on display.

The DAERA stands at the Eikon Centre will include DAERA Customer Services, Animal Health and Agri-Food Inspection Branch. CAFRE will provide an interactive exhibit in relation to Margin over Concentrate (MOC) with a ‘What If Dairy Calculator’ to try. Future Agricultural Policy will be profiled at the event as well as Area Based Schemes Delivery Support Branch which will focus on the new DAERA Geopic App for farmers to download onto their smart phones.

Ahead of the show, a DAERA spokesman said: “Every year the RUAS Winter Fair offers an excellent end of year showcase of what is best about our dairy sector and agri-food industry. There are animal sales, trade stands and exhibitions, and a range of DAERA services on display on our stand. 2022 has been a tough year for our agri-food industry and we hope everyone enjoys this year’s event and visits us at Stand EK1.”

DAERA staff will be in attendance to highlight the Department’s key areas of work. They will also help answer any queries and provide advice to farmers on grants, environmental advice and the wide range of courses on offer across CAFRE.
