    Are you are interested in studying an Agriculture or Land-based Engineering programme? If so, the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE)’s Greenmount Campus Autumn Open Day on Friday 9 October 2026 is the place to be.

    Students and lecturers will display the practical skills gained through studying Agriculture at CAFRE at the Open Day on Friday 9 October.

    Our Open Day provides a fantastic opportunity for you to see and experience our leading agricultural educational facilities, learn more about our Further and Higher Education Agriculture and Land-based Engineering programmes and student life.  Our staff will be available to provide advice and answer questions in relation to our programmes, modules, employment opportunities, and much more. There will be a series of presentations, farm tours and demonstrations of our facilities including laboratories and workshops. 

    Campus tours will take place on the day to allow prospective students to get a feel for the campus life and what the next steps in your educational journey might look like.

    What to expect at Open Day

    • Learn more about our programmes and areas of study 
    • Talk to our lecturers to find out about specific course information (eligibility and application requirements)
    • Learn about our student support services, such as accommodation, fees, bursaries
    • Take a tour of the campus and facilities 
    • Meet current students and hear about their college experiences

We have over 100 years of experience in delivering agri-food and land-based education and offer courses from Level 2 through to Ulster University validated Foundation and Honours Degrees and a newly revised postgraduate programme in Strategic Leadership for Agri-Food, validated by Queen’s University Belfast. 

    Our campuses offer specialist facilities supporting the development of practical learning.

    Our courses open doors to employment pathways with excellent career prospects - over 95% of CAFRE students are employed or in further study within six months of completing their course.

    CAFRE enjoys strong industry links with industry partners. In 2026, £106,000 was awarded in bursaries and scholarships to students studying on degree courses at CAFRE.
