  • Equine Foot Balancing course for farriers

    CAFRE Campus Enniskillen will hold an Equine Foot Balancing course for farriers on Wednesday 27 February 2019.

    The course will involve a presentation in the morning on farriery for the horse’s conformational needs and gait by leading trainers, followed by horse assessments and practical groups and individual activities in the forge unit. The course will include the identification of normal and abnormal conformation, shoeing for specific conformation, how to adapt manufactured shoes and how to apply bespoke remedial horse shoes.

    The course provides continuous professional development for farriers, is registered with the Worshipful Company of Farriers and is aimed at registered farriers with a minimum of two years experience in the equine industry or trainee farriers.
