Golden Jubilee Celebrations commence at CAFRE Enniskillen Campus

Date published: 19 October 2017

In October 1967, Enniskillen Agricultural College opened its doors ‎to 30 young men. Fifty years later, most of these former students returned to Enniskillen Campus which is now an integral part of the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise.

Class and staff of 1967 with Seamus McAlinney (Head of Equine Education), Martin McKendry (CAFRE Director) and Gerard Nicholl (Agriculture Instructor).

Following a light lunch, the past students ‎were taken on a guided tour of the excellent equine teaching facilities and practical resources at Enniskillen. They were very impressed with how the college had developed its education programme over the years.

The Class of 1967 enjoyed meeting up with each other and some of the former staff. Lots of stories were shared and many memories were jogged from their days at Enniskillen all those years ago.

All former staff and alumni will be invited to an evening of reminiscences in the Killyhevlin Hotel on Friday 13 April 2018. Further details will be available from the College in the very near future.
