  • Greenmount Association Autumn Farm Walk returns

    Date published: 20 August 2026

The Greenmount Association is pleased to be bringing back our Annual Autumn Farm Walk.

The Greenmount Association is pleased to be bringing back our Annual Autumn Farm Walk.

The Autumn Farm Walk was a regular fixture in the Association's calendar for many years, and we're delighted to be hosting it once again.

This year's walk will take place at Kilvergan Holsteins (Portadown), kindly hosted by the Haffey Family, on Wednesday 16 September at 11:00am. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The Kilvergan herd is owned and operated by the Haffey Family. The 350-cow herd has been operating an indoor robotic milking system since 2013 and is currently milking 340 cows through six robots. The herd produces an average yield of over 13,000 litres, with 4.26% butterfat and 3.45% protein.

In 2025, the Kilvergan prefix won Best Large Herd, Best Junior Cow and Cow Family in the senior section of Holstein NI's Annual Herd Inspection Competition.

The herd has also enjoyed success in the show ring, having previously won Reserve Champion at the Irish National Holstein Show and an Honourable Mention at the Royal Ulster Winter Fair. More recently, they have secured numerous Champion and Reserve Champion titles at the Dungannon Dairy Sale.

If you intend to attend, please register through our email address or Facebook page. This will help us with catering numbers on the day.

If you would like to know more about the Greenmount Association, or register your attendance, please contact us at: greenmountassociation1@gmail.com or through our Facebook page.

We look forward to welcoming members, past students and friends of Greenmount for what promises to be an enjoyable and informative day on a leading Northern Ireland dairy farm.
