  • Greenmount class of 1966 reunion set to rekindle memories after 60 years

    Date published: 13 October 2026

Former students who studied at Greenmount Campus and completed their course in 1966 are being encouraged to reconnect with old friends and classmates ahead of a special 60-Year Reunion taking place on Friday 23 October.

Lisa Burrows, Greenmount Association President, encourages the class of 1966 to attend the 60-year reunion.

Organised by the Greenmount Association, the event will bring together members of the Class of 1966 for a day of friendship, reflection and shared memories at the place where many began their careers in agriculture. The upcoming reunion offers a great opportunity to step back in time, catch up with former classmates and exchange stories from both student life and the years that followed.

As preparations continue, organisers are keen to reach as many members of the Class of 1966 as possible. They are asking former students, family members and friends to spread the word, particularly to those who may no longer be in regular contact with former classmates.

The reunion will begin at 10.00am and will include opportunities to socialise and enjoy a two-course meal together. Attendance costs £20 per person, with tea and coffee provided throughout the day. Attendees should use the new dairy farm centre entrance, where they will be met by a Greenmount Association representative.

The Association hopes the event will not only celebrate the shared experiences of those who attended Greenmount in 1966 but also help reconnect people who may not have seen one another for many years.

Former students wishing to attend are encouraged to register as soon as possible. Anyone who knows a member of the Greenmount Class of 1966 is asked to pass on details of the event and help ensure that no former classmate misses this special occasion.

For further information or to confirm attendance, please contact: greenmountassociation1@gmail.com or 07889998102.
