  • Loughry Summer Food Alumni event

    Date published: 8 June 2023

The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) invites past and current Loughry Food students and staff to an Alumni event on Tuesday 20 June at 6.00pm.

Many Loughry graduates will have fond memories of barbecues and Loughry ice-cream. What better way to welcome back our Alumni and celebrate summer than with a social barbecue! Following food, fellow Alumni will provide technical updates and share their food industry experiences themed around sustainability.

David Hughes, a degree graduate from 2012, now working with Lakeland Dairies will talk about his journey to Environmental Management.

Jessica McCann, a degree graduate from 2020, presently employed as a new Product Development Co-ordinator with Huhtamaki will provide an insight into the Paper Straw Story.

Russell Ramage, a part-time Degree graduate from 2002, Food Technologist at Loughry Campus will reveal information on CAFRE’s new part-time Sustainable Innovation course.

Following the talks and networking Alumni will have the opportunity to take a nostalgic tour of Shannon Hall accommodation and Loughry’s food facilities.

Whether you are interested in catching up with friends or lecturers, making new connections, personal or professional development, CAFRE Food Alumni will have something to offer you. Reconnect now with Loughry. Event registration is required.

Book now to attend our summer barbecue via the Food Alumni section on the CAFRE website.
