Saddle up for success at CAFRE

The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) encourages school leavers with a passion for the equine industry to explore the diverse range of study pathways on offer at Enniskillen Campus.
With applications still open through UCAS Clearing for degree courses and direct applications available for post GCSE study, there is still time to secure a place for September.
CAFRE’s Enniskillen Campus combines academic learning with hands on experience. Students benefit from modern equine facilities and industry experienced teaching staff along with strong links with the equine sector.
CAFRE currently has availability on its Foundation Degree in Equine Management and BSc (Hons) Degree in Equine Management. Both these qualifications enable students to further develop their leadership, management, research and industry skills while preparing for roles within the equine sector. Graduates are equipped for a wide range of careers both nationally and internationally.
The Certificate of Higher Education in Equine Management, is provided fully on-line and offers a flexible route into higher level study. It is particularly attractive to those seeking to balance education with work or other commitments.
There are also opportunities for GCSE School Leavers. Students can apply directly to CAFRE for full-time Level 3 in Equine Management or Level 2 in Equine Care. These courses are designed to provide a strong foundation in equine studies and practical horse management while preparing students for employment or progression to higher education.
Earn While You Learn with Level 2 and Level 3 Apprenticeships in the Equine Industry, ideal for students who prefer a workplace-based route. Apprenticeships allow learners to gain recognised qualifications while developing practical skills in a real working environment. They offer an excellent opportunity to earn while learning, build experience and establish industry contacts from the outset of a career.
The equine sector continues to offer exciting opportunities for talented young people. Employers increasingly seek individuals who combine practical skills with technical knowledge, communication abilities and business awareness.
