Appointment of a Chair and Two Members to the Board of the Northern Ireland Fishery Harbour Authority (NIFHA)

The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) is seeking to appoint a Chair and two members to the Board of the Northern Ireland Fishery Harbour Authority (NIFHA). NIFHA is an Executive Non-Departmental Public Body sponsored by DAERA. It has a statutory responsibility for the improvement, management and maintenance of the three fishery harbours at Ardglass, Kilkeel and Portavogie. Details

Time Commitment and Remuneration

The total time commitment for the Chair of the NIFHA Board is 18-22 days per annum.

The Chair position is remunerated at £6,890 per annum (currently under review).

The time commitment for the NIFHA Board Member is 12-16 days per annum.

The Member position is remunerated at £4,155 per annum (currently under review).

Reasonable travel expenses will also be reimbursed along with reasonable costs relating to care of dependants, including childcare.

Terms of Appointment

The successful candidates will be appointed for a four-year period from week commencing 26th June 2023.

An additional four-year term may be offered, subject to satisfactory performance and attendance.
