Classical Swine Fever Control Strategy
Date published:
The Classical Swine Fever Control Strategy describes how an outbreak of Classical Swine Fever in Northern Ireland would be managed.
It sets out the measures applied in such an eventuality. It also describes the measures and wider framework in place to prevent and limit an incursion of disease.
It is the aim of this strategy that all affected during an outbreak of Classical Swine Fever will be able to be better prepared to respond quickly and effectively to controls and limit the outbreak, thereby mitigating the likely impact of the control measures described.
The Classical Swine Fever Control Strategy is currently being reviewed in light of the EU Animal Health Law. The current strategy can be accessed below.
