Drinking Water Inspectorate - information letter 03/16 - regulatory and organisational changes under the Better Regulation Act and the Executive Departments Act

The purpose of this letter is to inform NI Water Ltd of the regulatory changes under the Environmental Better Regulation Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 which amended the Water and Sewerage Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 (the Order) to transfer the regulation of the quality of public drinking water supplies from the Department for Regional Development to the Department of Environment, and the subsequent reorganisation of Government Departments under the Executive Departments Act (Northern Ireland) 2016.
