EU Emissions Trading Fees and Charges 2021

NIEA regulate installations subject to the EU Emissions Trading Scheme through the issue of permits to operate specific activities. Operators have to pay a fee associated with new applications, variations, tranfers and surrender of permits as well as an annual subsistence fee. The 2021 charging scheme sets out the fees associated with each of the applications.
