    Date published: 21 August 2024

Landfill Gas Risk AssessmentsLandfill gas is the principle component of emissions to air from landfill sites. Landfill gas is produced once the biodegradable waste that is deposited in a landfill, decomposes and breaks down. The main components of landfill gas are methane, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen sulphide.Waste has been deposited at the Mobuoy site with no controls in place to manage landfill gas emissions. To evaluate risk posed by landfill gas from the site, a Gas Risk Assessment was completed in 2016. The Gas Risk Assessment for the site was reviewed and updated in 2022.Copies of all
