Marine Construction Licence ML2024025 – South Pier remedial works, Portrush – Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council

A condition survey of the South Pier at Portrush Harbour has identified several areas of depressions/slippages within the rock armour revetment and voids beneath the deck slab. The proposed remedial works include: installation of new rock armour units to reinstate defective areas within the existing revetment; coring of the reinforced concrete deck and installation of casings for grout injection; installation and subsequent removal of shuttering along the edge of the pier to prevent grout loss into the marine environment; grout injection using high-slump concrete to fill voids beneath the deck
