This is a ‘Statement of Public Participation’ (SPP), which is required at the beginning of the Marine Plan preparation process.

The key aims of the SPP are to:

set out how and when we mean to involve and engage people in the preparation of Northern Ireland’s first marine plan
indicate the associated timeframe leading to its publication for public consultation
invite comment as to the matters to be included in the proposed marine plan
