    NI Water are replacing the existing storm water outfall valve at its discharge point to the River Lagan, adjacent to Donegal Quay, Belfast (BT1 1AA). The works involve removing the current valve, approximately 2.8 m wide and 1.6 m tall and installing a prefabricated replacement unit at the outfall to maintain effective operation of the storm water system.

    • Project Description: The works on the River Lagan will involve the replacement of the existing 2.8 m by 1.6 m storm water outfall valve at Donegal Quay. A pontoon will be used to access the outfall, allowing the existing rubber valve to be removed and lifted to ground level for disposal. A new prefabricated valve will then be lowered from ground level, positioned via the pontoon, and fixed to the wall and culvert outlet.
